God is Not Done with Us Yet

Have you ever felt stuck? Have you ever thought that there was no hope. I have felt that way before. My hope felt like it dried up. Yes, there was quite a storm going on, and I took my eyes off of my Savior.

Just when I thought it was over, Jesus shows up.

So, I took a step back and changed my perspective. If my hope was fired up I could go back to the well. Jesus would fill me up there.

Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?”
Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:11-14

Thank you Lord for filling our cup with Your Living Water.  Thank you Lord that whenever we feel empty we can come see you again at the well. After all, God isn’t finished with us yet!

Believing in the Good

Believing in the Good. Not the bad. It has been proven that what we think about becomes what we say and then what we do.  For example, if we watch shows about making money, saving money, being wise with money - we end up saving our money and making wise choices. It has also been said that 'garbage in, garbage out.' If we constantly watch shows and talk about how broke we are, we end up broke. Some call it a self fulfilling prophecy. Our words have power - the power of life and death!

Today I would like to challenge all of us, me included. Let us lift our heads and look up. Look to God, the Author and Finisher of our Faith for the good. Let us claim His promises and talk about them. Let's release the goodness of God in the land of the living and especially over ourselves.

Here are some promises to hold on to today as God smiles at you ;)

God bless you and keep you,
God smile on you and gift you,
God look you full in the face
and make you prosper. (Numbers 6:24-26 MSG)
You serve me a six-course dinner
right in front of my enemies.
You revive my drooping head;
my cup brims with blessing. (Psalm 23:5 MSG)

God, mark us with grace and blessing! Smile! The whole country will see how you work, all the godless nations see how you save. God! Let people thank and enjoy you. Let all people thank and enjoy you. Let all far-flung people become happy and shout their happiness because You judge them fair and square, you tend the far-flung peoples. God! Let people thank and enjoy you. Let all people thank and enjoy you. Earth, display your exuberance! You mark us with blessing, O God, our God. You mark us with blessing, O God. Earth’s four corners—honor him! (Psalm 67:1-7)

God-of-the-Angel-Armies, come back! Smile your blessing smile: That will be our salvation. (Psalm 80:7)

Thankful

My Prayer Today

Dear Lord,

Thank you for all things.Even when I don't understand or cannot see my way. Thank you for lighting up my darkness and making a way where there is no way. Do a new thing in my life Lord. You know I am desperate for you and I need water from a rock. Thank you for providing for me, your child. I know You have gone ahead of me and already put the ram in the bush. You know me, You have my name engraved on the palms of your Hands, and today Lord, I am grateful. Thank you Daddy!

Love,

Your child

Rest and Relax With Lavender

Lavender, that beautiful little purple flower that has been found to help us calm down, rest, and relax. Lavender has been used for years for everything from soaps, oils, lotions, a flavoring component as well as medicinal purposes.

The oil from the flower is believed to have anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties.  It has been used to help heal everything from bug bites to minor burns. Even the medical community has endorsed this wonder plant:

From Medical News Today:

Lavender oil could be used to combat the increasing incidence of antifungal-resistant infections, according to a study published in the Journal of Medical Microbiology. The essential oil shows a potent antifungal effect against strains of fungi responsible for common skin and nail infections.

It has also helped those with digestive issues such as gas, bloating, nausea, and upset stomach.

Having trouble sleeping?
Having anxiety attacks?
Restless?
Depressed?
Have headaches?
Muscle sprains and strains?
Bloated?

Lavender may help.  You can burn a candle, put on some lotion, use a hand sanitizer, use lavender soap, use the oil in a diffuser or make your own disinfectant spray. Head to your local Organic Market and pick yours up today.

Lavender is also called Spikenard in the Bible (from the Greek name for lavender, naardus, after the Syrian city Naarda).
  1. Song of Solomon 1:12
[ The Shulamite ] While the king is at his table, My spikenard sends forth its fragrance.
  2. Song of Solomon 4:13
Your plants are an orchard of pomegranates With pleasant fruits, Fragrant henna with spikenard,
  3. Song of Solomon 4:14
Spikenard and saffron, Calamus and cinnamon, With all trees of frankincense, Myrrh and aloes, With all the chief spices—
  4. Mark 14:3
[ The Anointing at Bethany ] And being in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster flask of very costly oil of spikenard. Then she broke the flask and poured it on His head.
  5. John 12:3
Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.
